MY DINOSAUR LIFE RETURN WITH “SPIRIT OF ST. LOUIS”

Some bands become part of a label’s history simply because they release a record through it. Others remain connected to that story long after the first release.
For My Dinosaur Life, the connection with Too Loud Records goes back to December 2016, when the Cremona-based five-piece became the first band announced as signing with the label for the worldwide release of their forthcoming material. Their collaboration led to Young Survivors, released in December 2017 after being recorded at Titans Lab Recording Studio, with production, engineering, mixing and mastering by Riccardo Daga.
After returning to Too Loud Records in 2024 with the singles Peel and Empty Canvas, My Dinosaur Life are now back with new music and a new chapter: “Spirit of St. Louis”, the first single from their upcoming three-track mini EP For the Greater Good, due December 11th, 2026.
Years later, the collaboration continues with Spirit of St. Louis, mixed and mastered by Riccardo Daga at Titans Lab Recording Studio.
The single will be released on October 23rd, 2026.
A flight through the dark
“Spirit of St. Louis” begins somewhere far removed from the freedom suggested by its title.
Its opening verses describe a state of disorientation and confinement: waiting rooms, spinning walls, medication, fear and the desperate need to simply breathe again. Then the song takes off.
We fly by night
We pierce the dark Atlantic sky
We follow dreams until our final breath
From that moment, flight becomes the song’s central image, not merely a journey through the sky, but a way of moving through darkness, uncertainty and physical limitations.
The lyrics move between fragile flesh and the desire to escape it, turning blood into fuel for wings and a battered aircraft into a vehicle that refuses to give in. The reference to Icarus introduces another dimension to that journey: if the possibility of reaching the sun existed, would we take the risk despite knowing what it could cost?
The answer remains deliberately unresolved.
The final words, “Spirit of St. Louis keep me high / or bring me home”, leave the listener suspended between two possibilities: continuing the flight or finding the way back.
A new chapter for a long-standing connection
With For the Greater Good, My Dinosaur Life return to a label relationship that has accompanied several stages of their history.
From the release of Young Survivors in 2017 to their 2024 singles Peel and Empty Canvas, the band’s work has repeatedly crossed paths with Too Loud Records and Titans Lab. The label’s catalogue records Young Survivors as a Too Loud Records release from December 15th, 2017, while Peel and Empty Canvas mark their return to the label in 2024.
Now, in 2026, that story continues with “Spirit of St. Louis.”
The single is the first glimpse of For the Greater Good, a three-song release arriving December 11th and opening another chapter in the story of one of Too Loud Records’ longest-standing bands.
